Uluslararası sanatsal buluşmaların heyecan verici adresi olan .artimu., bu kez
de Deneysel Film Festivaliyle küresel ölçekte ilgi görüyor. .artimu.
Uluslararası Kültür ve Sanat Platformunun hamiliğinde, Zaragoza Üniversitesi
(İspanya), Aristoteles Üniversitesi (Yunanistan), OoLaLaLa Art Gallery (İtalya)
ve Üsküdar Belediyesi işbirliğiyle düzenlenen festival, 92 farklı ülkeden gelen
832 film başvurusuyla dikkat çekiyor.

Sayın katılımcılar,
.artimu. Kültür ve Sanat Platformu sanata ve kurama dair sürdürdüğü uluslarası
etkinliklerine Deneysel Film Festivalini de ekliyor.
Katılımı ücretsiz olan bu festivalin başlığının “deneysel sinema” ile
belirlenmiş olmasının nedeni, bu türün içerdiği alternatifler ekseninde
buluşmak. Egemen görme, düşünme ve üretim biçimleri içinde sıkıştığımız, hatta
her şeyi x2 hızda izlediğimiz bu zamanlarda tanımlanmış sınırlar alternatifler
üzerine düşünmeyi, farklı görme biçimleri üretmeyi neredeyse imkânsızlaştırıyor.
Belirlenmiş türlerin ve yüksek çözünürlüğe imân etmiş teknolojinin
muhafızlığında farklı olan her şey ana akıma kapılıyor. Oysa deneysel sinema,
içerdiği esneklik ve dirençle bu egemenliğin içinden ve ona rağmen farklı bir
bakış üretmenin imkânlarını sorgulayabiliyor. Bildik tanımları zorlayan
biçimiyle, klasik anlatıyı da yeniden düşünerek ilerlemenin, duygu ve
düşüncelerimizi yani kendimizi ifade biçimimizi sürekli araştıran bir kapıyı
aralıyor.
Bu bağlamda hem .artimu.nun hem de deneysel sinemanın bir khora oluşturduğunu,
bu metamorfoza yazgılı yerde kendilerine benzeyenlerle buluşmak niyetinde olduğu
söylenebilir. .artimu. Yüksek çözünürlüğün ve filtrelerin fantazmasına
kapılmayan, giriş-gelişme-sonuç hikâyelerinin alışıldık kalıpların dışına
çıkarak kendisini anlatan ve sözün özgünlüğünün sınırın dışında olduğunu
bilenleri bu festivale davet ediyor.

GENEL BİLGİLER
.artimu. Uluslararası Deneysel Film Festivali, Türkiye, İtalya, İspanya ve
Yunanistan’da fiziksel gösterimlerle gerçekleşecek, deneysel sinema alanına
odaklanan uluslararası bir kısa film etkinliğidir. Aşağıda, festivale film
göndermek isteyen katılımcılar için başvuru şartları ve katılım koşulları
sunulmuştur. Bu kurallar ve yönetmelik, uluslararası film festivali
standartlarına uygun olarak hazırlanmıştır. Festivale başvuru yapan tüm
katılımcılar bu koşulları kabul etmiş sayılır.
Başvuru Koşulları
Başvuru Platformu: Festival başvuruları yalnızca FilmFreeway üzerinden çevrimiçi
olarak kabul edilmektedir. Başka herhangi bir yöntemle gönderilen film
başvuruları değerlendirmeye alınmayacaktır.
Başvuru Ücreti: Festivale katılım ücretsizdir; film göndermek için herhangi bir
başvuru ücreti talep edilmez. Tüm film yapımcıları finansal bir engel olmaksızın
başvurularını gerçekleştirebilir.
Teknik Gereklilikler: Başvurulan filmler sadece MP4 formatında olmalıdır ve en
az 1920x1080 (Full HD) çözünürlüğe sahip olmalıdır. Bu teknik standartlar,
filmlerin festival gösterimleri sırasında kaliteli bir projeksiyonla
sunulabilmesi için gereklidir.
Film Süresi: Başvurusu yapılacak filmlerin süresi en az 10 saniye ve en fazla 20
dakika olmalıdır (açılış ve kapanış jenerikleri dahil).
Altyazı Zorunluluğu: Filmin dili İngilizce değilse, filmde İngilizce altyazı
bulunması zorunludur. Başvurulara tercihen ayrı bir .srt dosyası olarak
İngilizce altyazı eklenmelidir. Türkçe dilindeki filmler de dahil, İngilizce
dışında bir dil içeren tüm filmler İngilizce altyazılı olmalıdır (altyazısız
veya dublajsız yabancı dilde filmler eksik kabul edilir).
Başvuru Tarihleri: Filmler için son başvuru tarihi 3 Kasım 2025’tir. 15 Kasım
2025’e kadar seçkide yer alacak filmler web sitesinde ve sosyal medya
platformlarında açıklanacaktır.
Diğer Gereklilikler: Filmlerin 2-3 cümlelik sinopsisleri başvuru sırasında
gönderilmelidir. Başvuracak filmler için yapım yılı sınırlılığı yoktur.
Kategoriler
Festival programında iki ana kategorisi bulunmaktadır:
Profesyonel: Her düzeyden ve yaştan bağımsız film yapımcılarının başvurabileceği
genel kategori. Bu kategoriye, film endüstrisinde profesyonel olarak faaliyet
gösteren veya öğrenci olmayan yönetmenlerin filmleri dahildir. Profesyonel
kategoride tür veya tema kısıtlaması yoktur; yalnızca deneysel niteliği olan
filmler beklenmektedir.
Öğrenci: Öğrencileri teşvik etmek amacıyla oluşturulan kategoridir. Başvuru
tarihinde bir eğitim kurumunda öğrenci olarak kayıtlı olan veya filmi eğitim
hayatı sırasında çekmiş olan yönetmenlerin filmleri bu kategoriye uygundur.
Öğrenci kategorisine başvuranların, istenildiğinde öğrenci olduklarına dair
belge (öğrenci kimliği, transkript vb.) sunmaları gerekebilir. Bu kategoriye
yapılan başvurular, diğer öğrenci filmleriyle birlikte değerlendirilecektir.
(Not: Başvuruyu yapan yönetmen, halen öğrenci olsa dahi dilerse filmini
Profesyonel kategoride değerlendirilmek üzere gönderebilir; ancak aynı film her
iki kategoride birden değerlendirilmez. Organizasyon, gönderilen filmin uygun
gördüğü kategoriyi değiştirme hakkını saklı tutar.)
İçerik ve Değerlendirme
Deneysel İçerik: Festivale sadece deneysel filmler kabul edilmektedir. Filmler,
biçim ve anlatım açısından yenilikçi olmalı; sinemanın geleneksel sınırlarını
zorlayan veya alternatif bir görsel dil sunan çalışmalar olması beklenir. Klasik
anlatı yapısındaki kurmaca veya konvansiyonel belgesel türündeki yapımlar,
deneysel bir yaklaşım barındırmıyorsa festival seçkisine dahil edilmez.
Değerlendirme Kriterleri: Gönderilen filmler, alanında uzman jüri tarafından
estetik ve sanatsal ölçütlere göre değerlendirilir. Özellikle filmlerin
deneyselliği, özgün bir estetik yaklaşım ortaya koymaları ve yenilikçilik
düzeyleri başlıca değerlendirme kriterleridir. Jüri, filmlerin sinema diline
getirdiği yaratıcı yorum, teknik ve görsel yenilikler ile sanatsal ifade gücüne
odaklanacaktır. Bu bağlamda, cesur denemeler, özgün fikirler ve biçimsel
arayışlar diğer unsurlar kadar önemli sayılır.
Telif ve Özgünlük: Festivale gönderilen filmlerin tamamıyla özgün yapımlar
olması gerekmektedir. Filmin yapımcıları/yönetmeni, gönderilen eser üzerinde
gerekli tüm haklara sahip olmalı veya eserle ilgili telif hakkı sahiplerinden
izin almış olmalıdır. Başkalarına ait telifli görüntü, müzik veya diğer
materyalleri izinsiz kullanan, ya da intihal içeren filmler kesinlikle
diskalifiye edilir ve programda yer alamaz. Festival, eserlerin özgünlüğü
konusunda oluşabilecek herhangi bir yasal ihtilafta sorumluluk kabul etmez; bu
sorumluluk tamamen başvuru sahibine aittir.
Filmlerde yapay zekâ kullanılabilir, fakat yapay zekâ içeriğine yönelik
bilgilendirici bir notun jenerikte belirtilmesi gerekir.
Prömiyer Şartı Aranmaması: Festival, filmlerin daha önce başka yerlerde
gösterilmiş olup olmadığına bakmaz; dünya prömiyeri şartı aranmamaktadır. Daha
önce başka festival veya platformlarda gösterilen ya da ödül kazanmış filmler de
başvuru yapabilir ve seçilmeleri halinde yarışmaya dahil edilir. Filmin daha
önce herhangi bir yerde yayınlanmış olması (örneğin çevrimiçi platformlarda
gösterilmiş olması) bu festivale katılımına engel teşkil etmez. Önemli olan,
filmin içerik ve biçim olarak festivalin deneysel film niteliğine uygun
olmasıdır.
Gösterim ve Kullanım Hakları
Gösterim Hakkının Devri: Festivale başvuru yapan ve seçilen filmlerin .artimu.
Uluslararası Deneysel Film Festivali kapsamında gösterim hakları, organizasyona
devredilmiş sayılır. Seçilen filmler, festival tarihlerinde ve belirlenen
salon/mekanlarda izleyiciye sunulacaktır. Festival yönetimi, filmlerin gösterim
programını ve seanslarını planlama yetkisine sahiptir. Bu gösterimler üniversite
ya da galeri gibi mekanlarda halka açık ve ücretsiz olarak yapılacaktır.
Program Değişiklik Hakkı: Festival, önceden ilan edilen programda gerekli
gördüğü takdirde değişiklik yapma hakkını saklı tutar. Gösterim tarih ve
saatlerinde değişiklik veya seans iptali gibi durumlar ortaya çıkarsa, festival
yönetimi bu değişiklikleri gerçekleştirebilir. Böyle bir durumda, festival
yetkilileri değişiklikleri katılımcılara makul süre öncesinde bildirmeye özen
gösterecektir; ancak program değişiklikleri nedeniyle festival yönetimi sorumlu
tutulamaz.
Fragman ve Poster Kullanımı: Seçilen filmlerin yönetmenlerinden, filmle ilgili
tanıtım materyallerini sağlanmaları istenir. Özellikle her seçilen film için en
fazla 2 dakikalık bir fragman (teaser/trailer) ve filmin yüksek çözünürlüklü
resmi posteri festivale teslim edilmelidir. Bu materyaller festival tarafından
film programı açıklamaları, web sitesi ve sosyal medya hesapları gibi dijital
platformlarda tanıtım amacıyla kullanılacaktır. Festival yönetimi, gerekli
gördüğü durumlarda filmlerden kısa kesitler veya film fotoğraflarını da tanıtım
materyali olarak kullanma hakkına sahiptir. Gönderilen fragman ve görseller,
yalnızca festivalin tanıtımı kapsamında ve filmlerin izleyiciye duyurulması
amacıyla kullanılacak olup, başka ticari bir kullanım söz konusu olmayacaktır.
Yönetmen Katılımı ve Soru-Cevap: Festival programı elverdiği takdirde
çevrimdışı/çevrimiçi kısa söyleşiler veya yönetmen mesajları gibi etkinlikler
duyurulabilir, ancak resmi bir Q&A oturumu öngörülmemektedir.
Diğer Hükümler ve Bilgiler
Festival Programı ve Yan Etkinlikler: Festival, film gösterimlerinin yanı sıra
katılımcıların ve izleyicilerin deneyimini zenginleştirmek amacıyla çeşitli yan
etkinlikler de düzenleyebilir. Bu kapsamda atölye çalışmaları, paneller,
sergiler, söyleşiler veya deneysel sanat performansları gibi programlar
planlanabilir. Söz konusu yan etkinlikler, festivalin deneysel sanat anlayışını
destekleyecek ve farklı disiplinlerden sanatçıların katılımıyla
gerçekleşecektir. Festival programı ve etkinlik takvimi, önceden festivalin
resmî web sitesinde ve medya duyurularında ilan edilecektir.
Kuralların Kabulü ve Değişiklikler: Festivale film gönderen herkes, bu belgede
belirtilen tüm kural ve koşulları kabul etmiş sayılır. Festival yönetimi,
gerekli görülen hallerde bu kurallar üzerinde değişiklik yapma veya ek maddeler
ekleme hakkını saklı tutar. Böyle bir durumda güncellenen kural ve şartlar
festivalin resmi iletişim kanallarında duyurulacaktır. Tüm katılımcıların,
festival sürecinde yapılabilecek bilgilendirmeleri takip etmesi önerilir.
Jüri: Festival seçici kurulu ve jürisi tarafından verilen tüm kararlar nihaidir
(kesin) ve itiraz edilemez. Ön eleme sonucu seçilmeyen filmler için geri
bildirim veya gerekçe açıklaması zorunluluğu yoktur.

.artimu. Culture and Art Platform is expanding its ongoing international
activities related to art and theory by launching the Experimental Film
Festival. In its inaugural year, the festival will host screenings in four
countries: Türkiye, Spain, Italy, and Greece.

The reason for naming this free-to-attend festival “experimental cinema” is to
come together around the alternatives that this genre inherently offers. In
these times, where we are trapped within dominant ways of seeing, thinking, and
producing-even watching everything at 2x speed-predefined boundaries make it
nearly impossible to imagine alternatives or develop different modes of
perception. Under the guardianship of established genres and technologies
devoted to high resolution, anything “different” is absorbed into the mainstream.
Yet experimental cinema, with its flexibility and resistance, can question the
possibilities of producing a different perspective both from within and despite
this dominance. With a form that challenges familiar definitions, it opens a
door that continually explores new ways of expressing our emotions and thoughts-our
very selves-by rethinking classical narrative structures.
In this context, it can be said that both .artimu. and experimental cinema
constitute a kind of *khōra*-a space destined for metamorphosis-where they seek
to gather with kindred spirits. .artimu. invites those who resist the fantasy of
high resolution and filters, who break free from the conventional structure of
beginning-middle-end stories, who narrate themselves differently, and who
recognize that the authenticity of the word lies beyond boundaries.

.artimu. International Experimental Film Festival
Awards & Prizes
The festival will consist solely of film screenings in four countries, Türkiye,
Spain, Italy, and Greece, and the official selection will be announced. No
awards will be given.
Rules & Terms
.artimu. International Experimental Film Festival
.artimu. is a non‑profit international culture and arts platform founded in
2020. It produces and publishes exhibitions, films and books. You can review our
productions and publications at artimu.org.
.artimu. International Experimental Film Festival is an international short film
event focused on experimental cinema, to be held with physical screenings in
Türkiye, Italy, Spain and Greece. Below are the submission requirements and
participation conditions for applicants wishing to submit a film to the
festival. These rules and regulations have been prepared in accordance with
international film festival standards. All applicants who submit a film to the
festival are deemed to have accepted these conditions.

Submission Requirements
* Submission Platform: Festival applications are accepted online only through
FilmFreeway. Film submissions sent by any other method will not be considered.
* Entry Fee: Participation in the festival is free of charge; no entry fee is
required to submit a film. All filmmakers can apply without financial barriers.
* Technical Requirements: Submitted films must be in MP4 format only and must
have at least 1920×1080 (Full HD) resolution. These technical standards are
required to present films with quality projection during festival screenings.
* Film Duration: The films to be submitted must have a duration of at least 10
seconds and at most 20 minutes (including opening and closing credits).
* Subtitle Requirement: If the language of the film is not English, English
subtitles must be included in the film. Preferably, an English .srt file should
be attached to the submission. All films containing a language other than
English, including Turkish‑language films, must have English subtitles (films in
a foreign language without subtitles or dubbing are considered incomplete).
* Submission Dates: The final submission deadline for films is 9 September 2025.
By 15 November 2025, the films that will be included in the selection will be
announced on the website and social media platforms.
* Other Requirements: 2-3 sentence synopses of the films must be submitted
during application. There is no production year limitation for the films to be
submitted.
Categories
The festival programme comprises two main categories:
* Professional: The general category open to independent filmmakers of all
levels and ages. This category includes films by directors who operate
professionally in the film industry or who are not students. There is no genre
or theme restriction in the Professional category; only films of an experimental
nature are expected.
* Student: The category created to encourage students. Films by directors who
are registered as students at an educational institution at the time of
application or who shot the film during their education are eligible for this
category. Applicants to the Student category may be required to submit proof
that they are students (student ID, transcript, etc.) upon request. Applications
in this category will be evaluated together with other student films.
(Note: Even if the director submitting the application is still a student, they
may submit their film to be evaluated in the Professional category if they wish;
however, the same film cannot be evaluated in both categories. The organisation
reserves the right to change the category of the submitted film as it deems
appropriate.)
Content and Evaluation
* Experimental Content: Only experimental films are accepted to the festival.
Films should be innovative in form and narration; they are expected to present
works that push the traditional boundaries of cinema or offer an alternative
visual language. Works in the form of classical narrative fiction or
conventional documentary that do not contain an experimental approach are not
included in the festival selection.
* Evaluation Criteria: Submitted films are evaluated according to aesthetic and
artistic criteria by a jury of experts. In particular, the films’ experimental
quality, their presentation of an original aesthetic approach and their level of
innovation are the main evaluation criteria. The jury will focus on the creative
interpretation, technical and visual innovations and artistic expressive power
that the films bring to the language of cinema. In this context, bold
experiments, original ideas and formal quests are considered as important as
other elements.
* Copyright and Originality: Films submitted to the festival must be completely
original productions. The producers/director of the film must have all necessary
rights over the submitted work or have obtained permission from the copyright
holders for the work. Films that use copyrighted images, music or other
materials without permission, or that contain plagiarism, are definitively
disqualified and cannot be included in the programme. The festival accepts no
legal responsibility for any legal disputes that may arise regarding the
originality of the works; this responsibility lies entirely with the applicant.
* Artificial Intelligence may be used in the films, but an informative note
regarding AI content must be indicated in the credits.
* No Premiere Requirement: The festival does not consider whether the films have
been shown elsewhere before; a world premiere is not required. Films that have
already been shown at another festival or platform or have won awards may also
apply and, if selected, will be included in the competition. The fact that the
film has previously been published anywhere (for example, shown on online
platforms) does not prevent its participation in this festival. What is
important is that the film’s content and form are suitable for the festival’s
experimental film nature.
Screening and Usage Rights
* Transfer of Screening Rights: The screening rights of the films submitted and
selected for the .artimu. International Experimental Film Festival are deemed to
have been transferred to the organisation within the scope of the festival. The
selected films will be presented to the audience on the festival dates at the
venues determined. The festival management has the authority to plan the
screening programme and sessions of the films. These screenings will be held
free of charge to the public in venues such as universities or galleries.
* Programme Change Right: The festival reserves the right to make changes to the
previously announced programme if deemed necessary. If changes in screening
dates and times or session cancellations arise, the festival management may
carry out these changes. In such a case, festival officials will try to inform
participants within a reasonable time; however, the festival management cannot
be held responsible for programme changes.
* Use of Trailer and Poster: Directors of selected films are requested to
provide promotional materials related to the film. Specifically, a trailer (teaser/trailer)
of up to 2 minutes and the film’s official high‑resolution poster must be
delivered to the festival for each selected film. These materials will be used
by the festival for promotional purposes on film programme announcements, the
website and social media channels. The festival management also reserves the
right to use short extracts from the films or film photos as promotional
material when deemed necessary. The submitted trailers and visuals will be used
only within the scope of the festival’s promotion and to announce the films to
the audience, and no other commercial use is involved.
* Director Participation and Q&A: If the festival programme allows, short
offline/online interviews or director messages may be announced, but a formal
Q&A session is not envisaged.
Other Provisions and Information
* Festival Programme and Side Events: In addition to film screenings, the
festival may organise various side events to enrich the experience of
participants and audiences. Within this scope, workshops, panels, exhibitions,
talks or experimental art performances may be planned. Such side events will
support the festival’s understanding of experimental art and will be realised
with the participation of artists from different disciplines. The festival
programme and event calendar will be announced in advance on the festival’s
official website filmfest.artimu.org and media announcements.
* Acceptance of Rules and Amendments: Everyone who submits a film to the
festival is deemed to have accepted all the rules and conditions specified in
this document. The festival management reserves the right to make changes to
these rules or to add supplementary articles if deemed necessary. In such a case,
the updated rules and conditions will be announced through the festival’s
official communication channels. It is recommended that all participants follow
notifications that may be made during the festival process.
* Jury: All decisions of the festival selection committee and jury are final and
cannot be appealed. There is no obligation to provide feedback or justification
for films that are not selected at the pre‑selection stage.
