Rules & Terms
Your film must meet the following criteria:
- It should be made in one of the Mediterranean countries:
Greece, Spain, Morocco, Italy, France, Turkey, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt,
Montenegro, Cyprus, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, Malta...
- Or, the subject matter should be related to Mediterranean culture.
- Or, at least one member of the crew or cast must be from one of these
Mediterranean countries.
For short films: Maximum duration is 20 minutes.
For feature films: Maximum duration is 150 minutes.
- Your film may be screened at any of our future events and it may take us some
time before getting back to you.
- We will keep all films, contact details and passwords confidential.
What is CineMediterra?
CineMediterra Film Festival is a year-round film program in London, with each
edition spotlighting a different Mediterranean country. Screenings will be
hosted at Hackney Picturehouse, a renowned independent cinema known for its
diverse and dynamic programming.
The festival aims to establish CineMediterra as a leading platform for
Mediterranean cinema in London, engaging diverse audiences and fostering a
lasting cultural impact.
PROGRAMME
At each event, we select two feature films and five to six short films from a
Mediterranean country. Following a Q&A session with the director, we offer a
unique glimpse into the stories, traditions, and landscapes that define this
vibrant part of the world.
Immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of the Mediterranean with our
specially curated film festival, which will be held monthly to celebrate the
diverse and captivating cinema of this enchanting region.

evening of Mediterranean music. Experience short live performances that capture

Hackney Picturehouse is an independent cinema located in the heart of Hackney,
East London. Renowned for its eclectic programming and welcoming atmosphere,
this multi-screen venue offers a wide range of cinematic experiences, from
