More than a showcase, The Toronto Turkish Film Festival is a celebration of

amplifies the voices of Turkish storytellers while enriching Toronto’s dynamic
multicultural film scene.
Grounded in collaboration, creativity, and community, the Festival cultivates an
inclusive space where culture, identity, and artistry intersect. Each edition
marks not just a program of films, but a growing movement that elevates Turkish
cinema onto the global stage while uniting cinephiles, creators, and communities
in the shared belief in cinema’s transformative power.

I. APPLICATION OF THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the submission of a film or series
(the “Film”) to the Toronto Turkish Film Festival (“Festival”), via FilmFreeway.com
(“FilmFreeway”), for consideration for the 2026 Toronto Turkish Film Festival.
In the event of any conflict with other documents prepared by the Festival or
third parties, the Festival’s Terms take precedence.

II. SUBMISSION AGREEMENT
By submitting a Film to the Festival, the Applicant (the “Applicant”) and Film
Owners (collectively, the “Submitting Parties”) represent and warrant that:
1. They have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
2. They have obtained all necessary consents from any owners, creators, writers,
producers, or rights holders whose approval is required to submit the Film (the
“Film Owners”).
3. They grant the Festival the rights to screen the film at Festival venues,
promote it online and through print and digital media, and use reasonable
portions of the film (as determined by the Festival) in promotional materials.
III. ELIGIBILITY
1. The Festival accepts arthouse and independent films across all genres,
requiring a minimum runtime of 10 minutes for short films and 60 minutes for
feature films.
2. The first screening year of the film should not be any older than 2023.
3. Films must be relevant to Türkiye, its people, culture, or history; the
Applicant does not need to be a resident of Türkiye.
4. Films not in English must include English subtitles.
5. Films must meet standard image and sound quality; corrupted or poor-quality
films may be disqualified without notice.
6. Applicants are responsible for securing all rights and paying royalties for
copyrighted material.
IV. PROCESS FOR SUBMISSION
1. Submissions must be made via FilmFreeway and comply with FilmFreeway’s Terms
of Service.
2. Applications must include:
- High-quality video file (preferably DCP, Full HD, or 4K) or streaming link
- Synopsis
- Director’s photograph
- Film poster
- High-resolution stills for the Festival catalogue
3. The Applicant must ensure the Submission Screener is fully functional and
remains active until the completion of the Festival’s selection process. If the
film is selected for screening, the applicant must provide a high-quality copy
ready for screening.
4. By submitting, Applicants warrant that the Film is original, legally cleared,
and free from disputes or prior obligations that would prevent screening.
V. SUBMISSION DEADLINES AND FEES
1. The Festival may revise and extend the submission deadlines, but additional
fees may apply.
2. Submission fees (non-refundable) in Canadian dollars:
Early Bird: $10 CAD
Regular: $15 CAD
Late: $20 CAD
Short Films:
Regular: $7.50 CAD
Late: $10 CAD
VI. SELECTION
1. The Toronto Turkish Film Festival Programming Committee evaluates all films
submitted via FilmFreeway and invites the selected films to be included in the
official program.
2. Films are selected based on quality, originality, and relevance, with
preference given to Toronto/Canada premieres.
3. The Festival reserves the right to consider Films received through any means,
at any time, and is not obligated to select any Film.
4. All selection decisions are final, at the Festival’s sole discretion, and are
not subject to appeal.
5. The Festival values diversity, recognizing that individuals’ unique
experiences and perspectives enrich the organization and advance its mission,
and encourages the submission of films that reflect a wide range of voices,
stories, and creative visions.
6. Selected films may be offered Q&A opportunities with directors, subject to
Festival scheduling.
7. Selected films are announced no later than January 31, 2026. Applicants are
responsible for providing accurate contact information.
VII. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, LEGAL CLAIMS, AND INDEMNITIES
1. The Submitting Parties warrant that the Film:
- Does not infringe any copyright or other intellectual property rights;
- Does not defame or violate the rights of any individual or entity;
- Is not subject to litigation or disputes that could give rise to claims;
- Grants the Festival full authority to screen the Film and exercise the rights
granted in the FilmFreeway registration form.
2. The Submitting Parties agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Festival, its
licensees, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers
from any claims, damages, or costs arising from the Film, including exhibition
decisions or breaches of these Terms.
3. The Festival stores Films securely and limits access to relevant staff. No
duplication or loaning is permitted. The Festival is not liable for loss, theft,
unauthorized access, or copyright infringement while the Film is in its
possession.
VIII. SAFETY AND RESPECT
1. The Festival is committed to respect, fairness, and safety for all
participants.
2. Harassment, violence, or mistreatment of staff, volunteers, delegates, or
audience members is strictly prohibited.
3. Any safety concerns will be addressed promptly by Festival staff.
IX. SCHEDULING
1. The Festival will determine screening dates and times.
2. The Festival may organize video calls or Q&A sessions with directors after
screenings, depending on programming schedules. These opportunities will be
evaluated on a year-by-year basis.
X. SCREENING PROTOCOL
1. Films will be screened in physical venues (cinemas) according to applicable
health and safety guidelines.
2. If the screening infrastructure allows, to ensure compliance with
accessibility standards for screening purposes, the applicant grants the
Festival the rights to provide reasonable accommodations for the film, if not
already included. This may involve adding closed captions and descriptive
narratives for assistive listening or utilizing open captions.
3. For any inquiries or concerns regarding accessibility for your film, please
contact the Festival.
BAŞVURU KOŞULLARI
I. BAŞVURU VE KOŞULLARIN UYGULANMASI
Bu başvuru ve koşullar (“Koşullar”), filmlerin (“Film”) 2026 Toronto Türk Film
Festivali’nde (“Festival”) değerlendirilmek üzere FilmFreeway.com (“FilmFreeway”)
aracılığıyla festivale sunulmasını ifade eder. Festival veya üçüncü taraflarca
hazırlanan diğer belgelerle çelişki olması durumunda bu koşullar öncelik taşır.

II. BAŞVURU ANLAŞMASI
1. Bir filmi festivale gönderen başvuru sahibi (“Başvuru Sahibi”) ve film
sahipleri (topluca “Başvuru Tarafları”):
2. Bu koşulları okuduklarını, anladıklarını ve kabul ettiklerini beyan ederler.
3. Filmin sahiplerinden, yaratıcılarından, yazarlarından, yapımcılarından veya
hak sahiplerinden gerekli tüm izinleri aldıklarını garanti ederler.
4. Filmin sahipleri, Festival’e filmleri festival mekanlarında gösterme,
çevrimiçi ve basılı/dijital medya aracılığıyla tanıtma ve tanıtım
materyallerinde filmin makul bölümlerini (Festival tarafından belirlenecek
şekilde) kullanma hakkı verir.
III. UYGUNLUK
1. Festival, tüm türlerdeki sanatsal ve bağımsız filmleri kabul eder; kısa
filmler için minimum 10 dakika, uzun metraj filmler için ise minimum 60 dakika
süre şartı arar.
2. Filmin ilk gösterim yılı 2023’ten daha önce olmamalıdır.
3. Film Türkiye, Türk halkı, kültürü veya tarihi ile ilgili olmalıdır; başvuru
sahibinin Türkiye’de ikamet etmesi gerekmez.
4. İngilizce dilinde olmayan filmler İngilizce altyazı içermelidir.
5. Filmler standart görüntü ve ses kalitesine sahip olmalıdır; bozuk veya düşük
kaliteli filmler bildirimsiz şekilde diskalifiye edilebilir.
6. Başvuranlar, telifli materyallerin tüm haklarını güvence altına almak ve
ilgili ödemeleri yapmakla sorumludur.
IV. BAŞVURU SÜRECİ
1. Başvurular FilmFreeway üzerinden yapılmalı ve FilmFreeway’in hizmet
koşullarına uygun olmalıdır.
2. Başvuru şunları içermelidir:
- Yüksek kaliteli video dosyası (tercihen DCP, Full HD veya 4K) veya izleme
bağlantısı
- Sinopsis
- Yönetmenin fotoğrafı
- Film afişi
- Festival kataloğu için yüksek çözünürlüklü film kareleri
3. Başvuru Sahibi, gönderilen kopyanın festival seçim süreci tamamlanana kadar
çalışır durumda kalmasını sağlamalıdır.
4. Film seçilirse, gösterime uygun yüksek kaliteli bir kopya sunulmalıdır.
5. Başvuruyla birlikte, filmin özgün, yasal olarak izinli ve gösterimi
engelleyecek herhangi bir anlaşmazlık veya yükümlülükten uzak olduğu garanti
edilir.
V. BAŞVURU TARİHLERİ VE ÜCRETLERİ
1. Festival, başvuru tarihlerini değiştirme veya uzatma hakkını saklı tutar; ek
ücretler uygulanabilir.
2. Başvuru ücretleri (iade edilmez) Kanada doları cinsindendir:
Erken Başvuru: $10 CAD
Normal Başvuru: $15 CAD
Geç Başvuru: $20 CAD
Kısa Filmler:
Normal Başvuru: $7.50 CAD
Geç Başvuru: $10 CAD
VI. SEÇİM
1. Toronto Türk Film Festivali Program Komitesi, FilmFreeway üzerinden
gönderilen tüm filmleri değerlendirir ve seçilen filmleri resmi programa dahil
etmek üzere davet eder.
2. Filmler kalite, özgünlük ve içerik uygunluğuna göre seçilir; Toronto/Kanada
prömiyerlerine öncelik verilir.
3. Festival, herhangi bir zamanda ve herhangi bir yöntemle alınan filmleri
değerlendirme hakkını saklı tutar.
4. Tüm seçim kararları kesindir, festivale aittir ve itiraza açık değildir.
5. Festival çeşitliliğe değer verir ve farklı sesleri, hikâyeleri ve yaratıcı
vizyonları yansıtan filmlerin başvurusunu teşvik eder.
6. Seçilen filmler için yönetmenlerle çevrimiçi Soru-Cevap oturumları festival
programına bağlı olarak sunulabilir.
7. Seçilen filmler, en geç 31 Ocak 2026 tarihine kadar bildirilir. Başvuranlar
iletişim bilgilerinin doğru olmasından sorumludur.
VII. FİKRİ MÜLKİYET, HUKUKİ İDDİALAR VE TAZMİNATLAR
1. Başvuru Tarafları, Filmin:
- Hiçbir telif hakkı veya diğer fikri mülkiyet hakkını ihlal etmediğini;
- Hiçbir kişi veya kurumu karalamadığını ya da haklarını ihlal etmediğini;
- Davaya veya hak iddiasına konu olmadığını;
- Festivalin FilmFreeway kayıt formunda belirtilen hakları tam yetkiyle
kullanabileceğini garanti ederler.
2. Başvuru tarafları, filmin içeriğinden, gösteriminden veya bu koşulların
ihlalinden doğabilecek tüm iddialar, zararlar veya masraflardan festivali ve
ilgili kişileri tazmin etmeyi ve sorumluluktan muaf tutmayı kabul eder.
3. Festival, filmleri güvenli şekilde saklar ve erişimi yalnızca ilgili
personele sınırlar. Kopyalama veya ödünç verme yapılmaz. Film festivalin
elindeyken yaşanabilecek kayıp, hırsızlık, izinsiz erişim veya telif hakkı
ihlallerinden festival sorumlu değildir.
VIII. GÜVENLİK VE SAYGI
1. Festival tüm katılımcılar için saygılı, eşitlikçi ve güvenli bir ortam
sağlamayı taahhüt eder.
2. Çalışanlara, gönüllülere, delegelere veya izleyicilere yönelik her türlü
taciz, şiddet ya da kötü muamele kesinlikle kabul edilemez.
3. Güvenlikle ilgili her türlü endişe ve ihlal, festival personeli tarafından
derhal ve ciddiyetle değerlendirilir.
IX. SEÇKİ
1. Festival, gösterim tarihleri belirlenir.
2. Gösterimler sonrasında yönetmenlerle video görüşmeleri veya Soru-Cevap
oturumları Festival programına bağlı olarak yapılabilir. Bu olanaklar her yıl
yeniden değerlendirilir.
X. GÖSTERİM PROTOKOLÜ
1. Filmler, yürürlükteki sağlık ve güvenlik kurallarına uygun olarak sinema
salonlarında gösterilecektir.
2. Gösterim altyapısı elverdiği takdirde, erişilebilirlik standartlarına
uyulmasını sağlamak amacıyla, Başvuru sahibi festivale filmi için makul
uyarlamalar yapma hakkı verir (kapalı altyazı eklemek, betimleyici anlatım
sağlamak veya açık altyazı kullanmak gibi).
